Had a fantastic weekend helped by the nice weather
Hotel was very posh and all the courses in great condition.
We even ate at the Italian you mentioned which again was very good
The only slight issue we had was after playing formby ladies club we went for a drink in the other club house and were asked to leave.
I will certainly recommend your services if people ask. Thanks for organising it very impressed
We had a great time thank you. All the arrangements were in place and I and the rest of my group were very happy with the hotel and the courses. The back nine at Hillside is one to remember. Mercifully the sun shone for us all weekend and the aerobatics from the air show were an added bonus. Thanks for all your help organising and your prompt and helpful answers to my questions.
Just wanted to say thank you for all of your help with our trip. We had a brilliant weekend, and the courses and hotel were spot on. Also, thanks for arranging the weather! We didn’t see a drop until Sunday, and only then for about 20 minutes, which we will definitely take, given the forecast! Formby was definitely the highlight, as whilst Lytham has the prestige, history (and bunkers!), Formby was in fantastic condition, and treated us really well.
If we’re back this way for future trips, I’ll be sure to be in touch.
The Vincent was excellent, couldn’t fault it at all.
In order of preference the consensus among us was; Birkdale, Lytham and Formby on a par – All great in different ways. Then Hillside, lastly Royal Liverpool. All were very good courses.
Thank you for all of your help in organising everything! I will definitely recommend you to anyone else I know looking to arrange a tour in the North West!
Our stay was really great……accommodations at the Ramada Plaza were even better than expected…..all the tee times went smoothly and all the golf clubs were very gracious. We had great caddies at Hillside and Formby. If any one in the future waivers about booking at Formby Golf Club, tell them not to hesitate…..it is a wonderful golf course.
Thanks for all your work and don’t hesitate to use our names as references.
What a great trip we had. We loved all three Royals, some preferred Hoylake to Birkdale although we all agreed that RLGC would be the one we would most like to be members of. We also managed a game at Wallasey, playing greensomes in the afternoon after Hoylake. We are glad we did! Lovely course and clubhouse. The lunch at Lytham was excellent -- weather not great when we played, and I lost count as to how many bunkers I found! All enjoyed it however, almost as much as the other two. Also, very good breakfast at the Ramada.
We are keen to make another visit to play Hillside, S&A, Formby and West Lancs.
The hotel is probably best described as adequate, it’s a bit faded now but it was fine for our needs, and the location is very good. All the clubs were excellent, we think Hillside is probably the best course we’ve ever played. It wasn't only the quality of the courses that impressed, it was also the quality of the welcome. The staff at each course couldn’t have been more helpful. In particular, Formby was very patient as we dithered about whether or not to play. I was impressed that had we decided to postpone there would have been no difficulty in arranging another day to return. As it turned out, after the initial hesitation we all played and the weather was much better than forecast.
All 3 courses are certainly playable by mid handicap golfers, as most of us are.
Thanks for your help in making the making the arrangements. We don’t often repeat a tour, but if you have any suggestions for something for around the same time next year let me know. We’d certainly think about returning to Hillside and I know there are other very good courses in the area.
We played Formby Hall on Sunday, which was fine for the first game, and we were well looked after there also.
Just a quick line to say thank you for organising our Southport Golfing trip over the bank holiday weekend. The weather certainly obliged.
The three courses were really good and very challenging, very different to our usual courses. Also, the Ramada was definitely a good choice, the other hotel looked very tired!!
The courses were great and all very friendly.
I do however have concerns about the hotel. Very shabby, windows that did not close, it was all very tired. I feel you need to look for and offer alternatives to golfers that would like 'reasonable' accommodation even if we have to pay a bit more.
Just brief note to say many thanks for organising our mini golf trip to Southport. We all had a memorable time playing the iconic courses, albeit, particularly Hoylake they were a little bit difficult for us high handicap golfers. Royal Birkdale was superb, despite the rather wet weather on the day, but our favourite was Formby. We received a warm welcome at all three clubs from both the staff and club members something not all clubs are good at when entertaining green fees.
The hotel was also excellent, very comfortable with good food.
Once again many thanks, if we ever return to the area for our annual trip we will be sure to contact you
